Two Testaments, One Story

The Bible has two big parts. The Old Testament tells the long story of God and his people before Jesus, full of promises. The New Testament tells how those promises come true in Jesus.

Think of it as promise and fulfillment: one story, told in two acts.

In the reading, Jesus himself walks two travelers through the older Scriptures and shows how they pointed to him all along.
