Have you ever noticed how quickly the happy feelings from a good day, a purchase, or a compliment fade away? Human happiness is often fragile, completely dependent on everything going perfectly in our external lives. When circumstances shift, our joy vanishes, leaving us chasing the next temporary high.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalm 16:11
This scripture reveals that ultimate happiness is not a random emotional accident, but a specific path. True joy is not found in temporary worldly circumstances, but in close proximity to the Creator. The text emphasizes a “fulness of joy,” meaning a deep satisfaction that leaves no empty voids inside.

Today, rather than focusing on what you lack, list three distinct blessings in your life out loud. Conclude your list by stating: “Thank you, Lord, for giving me a joy that circumstances cannot steal.”
